The Last of October Birthdays!

Well, here we are. Celebrating the last of our October birthdays. Wow, what a lot of cake, gifts and parties! It's been good, but I have been been had to resist the earge to be a little lax on this one! Then when I think of this summer, and the time we went through with Caleb, I am so glad that he is even here to celebrate his birthday. Thank you Lord for Caleb. What a blessing he is to all of us!

Their 4 and 6

Happy Birthday Dear Zachary and Jesse. We have been celebrating all week. The 16th was Zach's birthday, the 18th was Jesse's. We had a party here at home for both of them on the 17th. They got lots and lots of gifts, 8 siblings, 8 gifts plus the gift from us. We don't give Christmas gifts to our kids, so birthdays are a big deal. The theme was race cars, so it was a race track cake, race car invitations, and race track table cloth. There were a couple of pretty excited boys! We are so grateful for the gifts that God has given us in the form of Jesse and Zachary. They add lots of life and excitement to our family.
Happy Birthday Boys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MEGAN!

13 years ago at 1:00 am a blessing arrived in our family. She looked like a little eskimo with her chubby cheeks and fuzzy black hair. It was love at first sight. She was the perfect little baby, ate and slept, ate and slept. At one point I remember wondering if she was terribly ill with sleeping sickness or something she slept so much, but realized that she was just a very content little girl. When she was 2 she still looked like a little doll. Her speech was so cute. When you would ask her a 'yes' question she would say in the most adorable way, mmmhmmm! She was quite an emotional roller coster, up one second and down the next. Her little heart was so soft. She felt sorry for everybody, to the point of being upset at us for correcting her siblings. We had to work on that one. Today she is a responsible young lady. When mom wants something done efficiently and well she will call on Megan's organizational expertise. She still has a heart of compassion and her younger siblings, and they know who to go to when they need a shoulder. In her pass time she likes to do crafts and has a special knack at scrap booking. We look forward to having another teenager in our home and are eager to see what God has in store for Megan. Happy Birthday Megan! We love you!

Harvest is Done!

Well we've actually been done harvest for quite awhile. We were done very early this year, Mark and I even were able to get away for a weekend and celebrate our anniversary. Who would get married in harvest anyway! Despite a very dry summer the crops were very good this year, we don't remember having our bins so full. We are blessed. Above are a few pics of the end of our harvest season.

Do You Ever Wonder Why...

Your Flowers are dying?
This was one of Nathan's weaknesses this summer.
He blasted anything that would dare get near.
This time it happened to be my flowers!
