I'm still here :)

This week has been a crazy busy week, that's why the lack of blogging. Monday-Painting our bedroom Tuesday-Hauling cattle (over 4 hour round trip), parenting class in evening Wednesday-Hauling cattle, went on a 'triple date' with Joshua, Rebecca and Henry & Esther (Rebecca's parents). We went to see an Easter drama. Thurday-Hauling cattle. Today was an interesting day to say the least. It started off with lots of 'little problems' while tagging and loading cattle which delayed us. But we were glad to get on the road when it was still relatively early. We always pray before we take off, for traveling mercies, that God would direct our day and that the cattle would sell as He willed. All was going well until we were about 4 miles from the cattle place. Mark noticed that something wasn't quite right with the trailer, so he stopped to check and came back in with the report of a broken axle. What to do now? We didn't want to leave the cattle on too much longer, yet we couldn't travel this way. We decided to head to a farm a little ways down the road hoping that someone there would be able to help us. The farmer actually saw us coming and was waiting for us as we pulled in. As Mark was talking to him I prayed that the man would be kind and understanding. He was very helpful as he let us unload part of our load in his coral. We were so thankful. We then proceeded to the cattle place where we unloaded what we had on the trailer. Just as we were unloading, a truck and trailer pulled up. Mark went to talk to the driver and again I prayed that we would find favor with him. He agreed to follow us to the farm where our cows were waiting and haul the rest in for us. Again we were so grateful. We offered both men something for their time and trouble but both refused. What an absolute blessing :) All this to say that God really matters about all of our life. We saw it so evident today. Some may see all of these things 'coincidence' or 'luck' but we believe it was about a Father who cared about the details of His children's lives. We saw our delays this morning as an inconvenience, but rather God may have allowed them so that we would be at the right place at the right time. If we were at the cattle place any sooner we would not have been there at the exact same time as the kind fellow who hauled our cattle for us. We also could have broken down in the middle of nowhere (there is lots of that between here and there!) but we broke down by the farm of a farmer who was more than willing to help out. The love of a Father who cares about details, who cares about the goings on in our every day lives. A Father who knows the beginning from the end. As we approach this Easter holiday I pray that as we would know of the love God has for us in giving His Son to die for our sins that we might have eternal life. There is no other love that is so deep, so pure, so strong than the love God the Father has demonstrated to mankind.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints
what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-20
