Saftey or Silly?

OK, so I understand there are reasons to put safety precautions and appliances and such.
But is it just me or do some of them seem just a little ridiculous?
Let's take our hair straightener for example:
One of the precautions are:
NEVER USE WHILE SLEEPING
I mean really, do you ever remember thinking when you went to bed,
"Oh ya, I better tuck my straightener under my pillow
just in case I want to straighten my hair while I am sleeping?"
I really hope I never get to the point where I have that urge :)
Maybe people would take these precautions a little more seriously if they were a little more realistic?
Here are some more found in Phil Callaway's book "Laughing Matters" On a portable stroller: "Caution: Remove infant before folding for storage.” In a washing machine manual: "Remove clothes before washing." On an electric rotary tool: "This product not intended for use as a dental drill."
From the side of a lighter: "Warning: Contents flammable!" On package of hand soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap." Found on a box for a window air conditioner: "Caution: Avoid dropping out of the window." In a microwave manual: “Do not us for drying pets” On an electric cattle prod” “For use on animals only.” On directions for an auto part: “Before installing. be sure to shut off the engine.” On a clothes iron: “Do not iron clothes on body.” From a Christmas light package: “For indoor or outdoor use only,”
On a Package of peanuts: “Warning: May contain nuts.”
In microwave instruction manual: “Not intended for hair drying purposes.” On the bottom of a jar of pickles: “Open other end.” On a caramel apple wrapper: “Not responsible for broken teeth.” On a bottle of rubbing alcohol: “Warning: This is not an alcoholic beverage. DO NOT DRINK!” On package of breath mints: “These mints are in no way a form of weight control.” On a child size Superman costume: “Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.”
What about you do you have any "interesting" safety precautions to share?

haha...yes, those are too funny - I think I have read those in Phil Calaway's book before, but they are funny to read again! And yeah...really, we just need to use common sense and we wouldn't need somene to tell us that microwaves aren't for drying pets. hehe. :) Thanks for bringing a smile to my face!

There were some good ones on our tractor; I can't remember what they are since we no longer own a tractor. I bet you do, though, so you could just go look at yours!
