The Things I Like About Spring....

New life everywhere......

The Columbine finally started to peek out

Gooseberries getting first leaves The apple trees getting their first tiny buds
The plants I started inside waiting to be in 'real' sun & soil
(THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO)
DAHLIA
TOMOATOES
BALSAM
Boys being able to put some of their ENDLESS energy into something constructive while spending time in the fresh air and sunshine (well.... when their actually is sunshine:)
The pair of geese that found their way back to our dugout
BABIES, BABIES EVERYWHERE!!
Baby kittens
75 baby chicks and 10 turkeys
Of course Megan could not refuse a photo shoot with these warm fuzzies :)
Baby goats
And lots of baby calves
(This is our milk cow 'Lonnie's calf. Since we are enjoying her milk we have to feed her by bottle.)

As you can see life around here has been busy (that's why the lack of blogging).

Spring brings many great things, but also lots more work as everything wakes up from it's winter slumber. But I wouldn't trade this season for anything. And this year it seems that we have had to be extra patient waiting for it to come. But this week we have had some hope with a couple of very nice warm sunny days!

So here's to 'spring has sprung' FINALLY :)
